News Sensationalists :
ResponderEliminarIn some causes the news and the newspapers were sensationalist , but it depends of the news. For example in Costa Rica the newspaper that is very sensationalist is Diario Extra, this newspaper tends to call the attention for the people for their photographs, that in generally are very cruel and inhuman because they don´t respect the persons who have died. Also in the news present information that are very important and they know that the persons are going to pay attention. The news have to be sensationalist because they have to call the attention of the people, presents : interesting information , great pictures and photographs, importants interviews and in that way sell the newspaper or have the best audience.In my opinion the people prefer the sensationalists’ news, because everyone talks about that new and also they have to be informated about the new, and the persons are influenced for all the media of communication .

ResponderEliminarIn the newspapers it is the same, some show the news in a very tragic and bloody, which is targeted to a specific population, such as the Diario Extra and tile pictures show scenes and very strong, cruel to people, not think of the problems that can result in psychological and traumantes, no respect for people.
The news trying to be sensational to get attention of the population, to choose always the news media in their lives, often tragic news of many put one or two good half or end of the news, so people have to see them complete.
There are many types of people, some who prefer to see the stark reality and others who prefer to be a little disguised, however, the best thing for the population are non-sensationalist news, and things that do not have as strong and raw, that may cause a problem with the person.
In Costa Rica the news are very sensationalists because you can see the saddest things on the reportages, and the newspapers are even more cruel and inhuman.
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion the worse newspaper is “La Extra” because show us the most impressive images like a killed man with his bloody body for example, and I wonder if the people that work for this newspaper would like to see their mothers or brothers in the same estate?.
I wouldn´t want that this terrible event happen in the life of this people, but I want to these workers to be aware of: position of this families and what the person who they put dead in their covers reflects.
Of course the news have to be sensationalist for people want to see it.
However you can't generalize because not all the workers on the newspapers are comfortable with this type of news but those are their jobs.

1.Yes, in a lot of newspapers the news that they put are really sensationalists like in “Diario Extra”. Sometimes in this kind of newspapers you see news that are very strange and sillies like one that I read a few months ago about a man who says that he saw a goblin in his yard or things like that.

ResponderEliminarIn my opinion one of the best is the Diario Extra newspaper. Because it shows the images as passed, but in many cases are very impressive and cruel.
The news must be dramatic and should draw the attention of these people to buy the newspaper, must contain good pictures and if you can exclusive get interesting information, to gain more customers or have better hearing.
There are many types of people and all that is in each person's tastes. and may also depend on the degree of professionalism that you have your period as this should make a very good story for the attraction of people and contain good pictures but not so cruel and bloody.

-The news and newspapers, in our country, are not too much sensationalist, but sometimes it is. Occasionally the newspapers are sensationalist, but the most outstanding is Diario Extra, always exaggerates with the news, there are images that it provoke sensationalism, because it is the most purchased by Costa Ricans. ResponderEliminarMost of the time the news in my country are sensationalist, for example if you turn on the TV at 7:00pm and put channel six or seven, you can see that the news are always car accidents or someone kills innocents, so news here in Costa Rica most of the time show negative things. Also in my country the newspapers are sensationalist, I think DIARIO EXTRA and LA TEJA are the most sensationalist, they always have titles in colors like red, blue and yellow to have more appeal and also putting disturbing pictures in their frontal pages.
I think they have to be sensationalist because showing this kind of news, they have more audience, so they earn more money.
I think in our society most of the people prefer sensationalist news, I don’ t know why, but people prefer them. Sometimes this kind of news hurt other people, so in my case I don ‘t see them.
I think that the extra newspaper and extra tv both are the most sensationalist, but every newspaper and news on tv are very sensationalist because they need to have some drama or to express some emotion.

The news in Costa Rica are very sensationalist. Every day appears sensational news on the T.V and on the newspaper; most of them are very tragic and regrettable news. There are a lot of car accidents, robberies and a lot of corruption. The most sensational newspapers in our country are: “La Extra” and “Al Dia”, they show very tragic pictures; some of them are very cruel and bloody.

I think most people prefer sensational news because they always want to know every detail of what has happened in the news, but other people prefer news that are real and not very exaggerated they didn´t like to see bloody or shocking pictures that sometimes disrespect the person that appears there.
1)Yes they are sensationalist becacuse for a simple new or gossip they do a lot of things to attract the people atention, for example the teja newspaper for my the most stupid and useless newspaper but a lot of people read it only for know about the Show business of Costa Rica, also the extra daily is so sensationalist because show a lot of pictures with violent essenes, dead people, so they don´t have respect for no one....

In some cases these are very tabloid newspapers as you are looking for extra attention with images and disrespect not very appropriate to mention that person or action that occurred in an exaggerated way when in fact it does not happen as they say, seeking the attention of who reads the article or news.
ResponderEliminarI think the news reporters who write what they want is that the reader be surprised about what happened and that the newspaper is sold more and have more profits for the company, seeking personal gain, journalists believe that tabloid news will be more successful and are best known, but in my opinion it is better to say things in moderation and not exaggerate.
I feel that people want to read or know the truth of the news but this is not so exciting, it is better to tell a story as it actually happened to exaggerate and say things that did not occur, newspapers or other broadcast media such sensational news should be censored or that the media seek ways not to publish news of this kind.

In our country, the news media provide information of interest very popular or important events. Some news is not to shock people because maybe they are irrelevant or of little interest, such as celebrity news, but many others are sensationalist as successively, crime, assaults or natural disasters.
ResponderEliminarActually, I think the media should give quality news and sensationalism to attract attention and interest of the people. However, it is a great shame that the large majority of the news is to inform us misfortunes.
From my point of view, I believe that people prefer sensational news, as news on concerts, contests, movies, or music, but it hurts to see sad news as the great number of people affected by rains and floods.

ResponderEliminar• In Costa Rica there are a lot of news and newspaper, but there some a little bit sensationalist like for example Diario La Extra: Because this paper has a lot of audience but this is because it has some problematic pictures of people that already kick the bucket, but are like so problematic because are so nasty, like for example Denis Marshall’s dead; but I think there are some news and newspaper that at least has the priority of report the news.
• I think that news has to be a little bit sensationalist because it’s a good way to call people to watch and buy it, because the truth sometimes it is a little bit boring so they have to improve it with sensationalist
• I actually think that people prefer sensationalist, because it’s more interesting even when they do not tell the truth.

ResponderEliminarI think that the most sensationalist newspapers are “La teja & La extra” they say something in the cover that is completely unrelated with the article, I remember seen a cover that said “Grandma felt on mother´s day” and showed a crying old lady (with just one leg) on a wheelchair, and it was about how her son got arrested.
I think that they have to be sensationalist, because of the little amount of interest that the people would give to the boring news if the didn´t.
Well people sure give more interest to something that seems to be shocking that to something that already know is going to be boring, I get disappointed when I read the actual thing because I feel like lied to, but again the gotta do what they gotta do.

Yes, well just a few because not all are sensationalist, the sensationalist newspapers in our country are the Diario La Extra and La Teja, who are journalists who invent many things just to call the attention of the people, also degrade the woman like put her in the back page almost completely naked, another thing is that the vocabulary they use is not a cult vocabulary it´s a "pachuco" vocabulary and also foul-mouthed and don`t know how to express their ideas in an appropriate way, and finally are journalists who don`t have respect for human life and human dignity, especially for deceased persons and their families, and others.

3. I don`t like the news is of that kind, because you don`t know if what is said is true or not, I think that people doesn`t like that and prefer listen real news, that it`s happening. And people who prefer listening a lie is just for have something to talk.

1-yes, well here in my country when something happen and it is important we can saw in the newspapers or in the news and it is fine, but sometimes the news only talk about one topic all the week and that is borring because the people want to see new topics and they only talk about one and maybe for something that it is not really important, for example when someone famous have a baby or found them taking drogs, in this moments the news or newspapers only talk about that , but in my opinion it is better let them to do whatever they want because they are humans too and i thing that it is more important talk about other topics like the help that we can bring to the people that not have something to eat or about the people that lives on the streets.

Yes, for me the news here in Costa Rica are very sensationalists, specially the ones of the newspapers. Here we have lots of them, but the most sensationalists are “La Teja” and “La Extra”. I think they use their shocking photos to call the attention and use it like a method to sell more and more, but for me this is just a really disgusting technique.

Costa Ricans think we like exaggeration but there is always some newspaper or media that exaggerates the news or put titles that make the news stand out.
-(1)Well, not all the news in my country are sensationalist, some of them do the opposite, they try to hide the reality; so it depends to the company and to the workers. In the newspapers I think it’s more explicit the way they present the the news, one of the most sensationalist newspaper in the country is “Diario la Extra”, in this journal it’s very normal to see some killed man with all the blood outside his body uncensored and other things like that. (2) In my personal opinion I don’t like this kind of news, they don’t respect the people and they invade the privacy of them, they don’t think about the families of these people and I’m sure that they wouldn’t like to see any member of their family in that conditions, but I think that they have to be sensationalist because it is an easy way to catch people’s attention and also it’s a way to make publicity for the company. (3) In some cases people prefer sensationalist news because sometimes there are necessary to make changes in the way that people think, but in other cases this kind of news can be very offensive and shocking…

News in Costa Rica if they are yellow and in some newspapers as the Daily Extra show striking images on the news this is done with intent to invalidate the news as real as possible but sometimes the images are very explicit and not respect the grief of the families or the person who died, the news should not be published sensationalist in my opinion because they may be disturbing but I think that if there are still newspapers that publish them is because some people if they like the way to inform.
